Dayton Bicycle Products offers laser alignment tool for bike mechanics

Published December 28, 2020

(BRAIN) — The Green Cross Laser Alignment Tool mounts to a frame's dropout and uses a laser to check the alignment of derailleur hangers, pulleys and stops, plus the trueness of chainrings, brake rotors and rims.

The company said the device allows professional mechanics to "communicate transparency, embrace technology, demonstrate technical expertise and build trust by showing your customer a bold picture of identified repairs."

The device can attach to a front or rear wheel axle by threading it on in place of the quick release nut. Optional adapters are available to mount to various through-axle configurations.

Pricing starts at $199.
