SEYMOUR, Ind. (BRAIN) — Guardian Bikes announced a $19 million financing with JPMorganChase, which the company said will power what it calls "the first large-scale bicycle frame manufacturing operation in the United States."
"This collaboration with JPMorganChase is helping launch a new era of American high-tech manufacturing and working-class job creation," said Brian Riley, CEO of Guardian Bikes. "We're not just building bikes—we're rebuilding an industry. And we're doing it with cutting- edge automation, good-paying local jobs, and an unwavering commitment to safety, quality, and resilience.
The company said the new Seymour, Indiana, facility will feature robotic welding, advanced laser-cutting technology, and vertically integrated logistics. It will produce bicycle at scale using domestic steel and aluminum.
Guardian said the factory will catalyze a supply chain in the Midwest to supply OE products from handlebars to hubs to the factory.
