(BRAIN) — Fox Factory Holdings, parent company of the Fox bicycle suspension brands, as well as Race Face, Marzocchi and Easton Cycling, has acquired 80 percent of the shares of Flagship Inc., which does business as Tuscany Motor Company. Tuscany sells aftermarket packages for trucks, including modified Ford trucks repackaged as Tonka and "Special Ops" trucks.
FORT COLLINS, Colo. (BRAIN) — A Colorado-based investor group has agreed to purchase Niner Bikes.
SAN FRANCISCO (BRAIN) — TSG Consumer Partners has acquired a minority share in the nutrition brand Nuun and Company.
Seattle-based Nuun was founded 13 years ago and is known best for its low-sugar electrolyte tablets.
GREENSBORO, N.C. (BRAIN) — VF Corporation has signed a purchase agreement with New Zealand-based wool clothing company Icebreaker Holdings, Ltd.
VF already owns The North Face, Vans, Smart Wool, Timberland and Lee.
NEW YORK (BRAIN) — Hearst has agreed to acquire the magazine and book businesses of Rodale, the parent of Bicycling magazine and 92 other titles.
BOULDER, Colo. (BRAIN) — The World Triathlon Corporation has sold VeloNews, along with Triathlete and other media titles, to Pocket Outdoor Media, a company founded by Felix Magowan, a previous owner of VeloNews. The sale was finalized late Thursday.
CARLSBAD, Calif. (BRAIN) — Triathlon apparel brand Zoot Sport has new ownership. Industry veterans and former Zoot Sports employees Shawn O'Shea and Dan Weatherford have purchased the brand back from Newell Brands and have moved the brand back to Carlsbad.
STUTTGART, Germany (BRAIN) — Bosch eBike Systems has agreed to purchase COBI, a connected biking startup that allows cyclists to use their smartphone as an e-bike control and display unit.
AMERICAN FORK, Utah (BRAIN) — Grip and handlebar tape manufacturer Lizard Skins has completed a deal to acquire Oury Grips, which also makes grips for bicycles and powersports.
Oury has been designing and manufacturing grips since 1968, while Lizard Skins celebrates its 25th anniversary in January.
NOVATO, Calif. (BRAIN) — Mike's Bikes, which has 12 locations in Northern California, is acquiring Public Bikes, a San Francisco-based brand that sells city bikes and accessories online and through a limited number of brick-and-mortar stores.
LONDON (BRAIN) — Rapha has announced that U.S.-based RZC Investments is now the majority shareholder in the business.
OLATHE, Kan. (BRAIN) — Garmin has acquired Alphamantis Technologies Inc., a Montréal company that does aerodynamics testing and develops measurement technology for the cycling industry.
PORTLAND, Ore. (BRAIN) — Stages Indoor Cycling has acquired VismoX, a group cycling software platform developed by Virtual Cycling AS of Norway.
Stages has been the global distributor for VismoX and the acquisition is effective immediately.
