BOSTON (BRAIN) — Spartan Race will acquire the La Ruta De Los Conquistadores multi-day endurance mountain bike race and brand and expand the format to other regions.
BEAVER, Utah (BRAIN) — Life Time, which owns the Leadville Trail 100, Chequamegon MTB Festival and Dirty Kanza events, has added Crusher in the Tushar, a long-standing gravel event in Utah organized by former pro racer Burke Swindlehurst.
AMSTERDAM (BRAIN) — Pon.Bike, which owns Cervélo, Santa Cruz, Gazelle, and other brands, has acquired Urban Arrow, a Dutch electric cargo brand.
MADRID (BRAIN) —Trainer and software brand Bkool has sold its hardware rights to a fellow Spanish indoor training company, Versa design, which markets the Zycle brand of trainers. Versa will rebrand the BKool trainers under the Zycle brand while BKool focuses on its cycling simulation software business.
BOSTON (BRAIN) — Bollé Brands, which Vista Outdoor sold last year, has acquired the Spy Optic brand.
Spy Optic, which designs, markets and distributes sunglasses, goggles, helmets and prescription eyewear, joins Serengeti, Cébé and H2Optix within the Bollé Brands portfolio.
ZURICH (BRAIN) — Accell Group has sold Protanium, a pedelec development brand, and Diavelo, an associated pedelec bike brand, to a new Swiss company headed by pedelec entrepreneur Karin Vogelsanger.
MINNEAPOLIS (BRAIN) — Quality Bicycle Products has announced the purchase of the Frame Saver brand from Echelon Performance Products.
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (BRAIN) — Quality Bicycle Products has agreed to acquire Barnett Bicycle Institute from the National Bicycle Dealers Association for an undisclosed amount.
BEND, Ore. (BRAIN) — The Robert Axle Project, which manufacturers aftermarket thru axles, has purchased Old Man Mountain Products, which makes racks for suspension mountain bikes. The two brands will operate as separate brands, but both will be based in Bend, Oregon.
PETALUMA, Calif. (BRAIN) — Australian consumer-direct retailer Bicycles Online has entered the North American market with an exclusive partnership with Polygon Bikes.
VIMPERK, Czech Republic (BRAIN) — Rouvy, a virtual riding platform, has acquired UK-based CycleRecon and its route video recording business
ATLANTA (BRAIN) — Wahoo Fitness acquired training platform The Sufferfest, continuing a trend of consolidation in the indoor cycling and training world.
ANOKA, Minn. (BRAIN) — Vista Outdoor, owner of Bell, Giro, CamelBak and other bike-related brands, has completed the sale of its Savage Arms and Stevens firearms brands for $170 million to Long Range Acquisition LLC.
