FORT WAYNE, Ind. (BRAIN) — The owners of Summit City Bicycles & Fitness have announced the sale of their business to Trek Bicycle.

Bob and Sheri Mann announced the sale on the store's Facebook page Tuesday.

"After a great deal of consideration, we have decided that the time has come to take a new and exciting step. We've found a partner in Trek Bicycle, who will take what we've created here at Summit City Bicycles & Fitness and build on it, continuing to serve our community in even bigger and better ways while sticking to the same core principles of treating people like family, delivering outstanding customer service, and helping you find your pathway to a better life," the couple shared.

The store will be closed the week of May 17 and re-open as a Trek Bicycle store. The store is currently selling off its remaining fitness equipment, which it will not carry after the re-branding. According to its website, the single-location store, in business 27 years, sells Trek, Electra and Specialized bikes.
