STAMFORD, CT (BRAIN)—Julie and Yori Gabay, long-time Stamford residents and triathletes, have teamed up to open their dream store in their home town.
Pacific Swim Bike Run is being dubbed as a facility where anyone that enjoys the trio of sports that a triathlon offers can come to learn more about the sports involved, improve their endurance and skills or purchase top-of-the-line products and equipment sold by a professional staff who live the lifestyle that they promote.
The Gabays especially want to encourage those to come in that are new to the sport. The Gabays were novices when they completed their first “tri” two years ago
“We know how daunting attempting any new activity can be, let alone one that is attached to a triathlon," Julie said. "When my husband and I started racing a couple years ago, I could not even swim one lap in the pool. By continuing to practice and learn more about the sports involved, but by really just getting out and doing it, we caught the bug.”
Pacific Swim Bike Run will offer 7,500 square feet of retail and training space in Stamford’s Harbor Point area, just blocks from the new Fairway Market and Metro North train station.
The sales and training team includes USAT triathlon certified coaches, personal trainers, Barnett Certified bicycle mechanics and knowledgeable and friendly sales people who are committed to helping both novices and experts alike reach their personal fitness goals. Pacific Swim Bike Run’s certified coaches will offer private classes, individualized training sessions, expert bike fittings, nutritional consultations and more.
After completing a workout in the multi-rider computrainer studio, guests can use the facility’s beautiful, new locker rooms and savor a cup of coffee in a cozy sitting area.
