CORONA, CA (BRAIN)—The Corona, California Jenson USA shop lost nearly $27,000 worth of high-end bikes in a burglary last week.
The thief or thieves busted in through the shop’s locked, barricaded back door sometime between closing Wednesday evening and Thursday morning and stole two Jamis Diablo bikes, three Yeti ASR SLs, a Rocky Mountain Slayer SS, a Rocky Mountain Element 50 and a 2009 Titus Motolite.
“Whoever did this was savvy enough to cut the alarm communication first,” said Justin Christopher, director of sales and marketing for Jenson USA. “They probably had leisurely time to bust down the door without making a lot of noise.”
The shop’s security camera captured the theft and the tape has been turned over to local law enforcement.
Management was still conducting an inventory as of last Friday, but it appeared as though the bikes were the only items missing; flat panel televisions and laptop computers were left alone, Christopher said.
Christopher said Jenson USA is exhausting all avenues to recover the stolen property and hopes other people in the industry will keep an eye out for the bikes. The serial numbers are as follows:
