GREENWICH, CT (BRAIN)—Signature Cycles is opening a new location in the heart of downtown Greenwich. The new custom bicycle studio will officially open Dec. 1.
The new 2,500-square-foot facility boasts acid etched concrete floors, custom cabinetry and fixtures, two state-of-the–art fit stations, a sampling of handcrafted bicycles, eSoles Custom Footbeds and limited-edition cycling clothing and apparel. On display are handmade custom bikes from Serotta, Parlee, Independent Fabrication, Seven and Guru.
“We are very excited about our new location and the opportunity it represents for our business as a whole,” said Paul Levine, owner of Signature Cycles. “Our bicycle fittings are conducted on a one-on-one basis where we provide a cutting-edge professional alternative to the traditional bicycle shop experience. Signature Cycles has replaced, ‘One size fits all,’ with ‘Your size fits you perfectly’”
Signature Cycles incorporates state-of-the art technology highlighting Video Motion Analysis, Pedal Stroke Analysis and 3D TruCapture custom footbed imaging during the two-and-a-half-hour fitting process. The process also involves a detailed physical assessment of the athlete.
“It’s important to understand the body in front of you,” Levine said. “Unlike the mass production companies, our manufacturers don’t build bikes for everybody; they build bikes for your body.”
Levine has surrounded himself with industry superstars to launch his new location including Lori Hoefer, former national sales manager for Serotta Bicycles, and Jeff Sparling, former director of operations of Dynamic Fitters, Ltd., creators of video analysis software and the Dialed in Motion dynamic bike fitting system.
Hoefer and Sparling bring 40 years of combined experiences, which include bicycle fitting expertise, coaching, mechanics, bicycle advocacy and education, road, mountain and triathlon racing.
Signature Cycles has two other locations in Manhattan and Central Valley, New York.
