CHICAGO (BRAIN) — SRAM's new model year 2015 road hydraulic brakes are in production, but the company will not ship the brakes until early May. SRAM recalled its entire road hydraulic brake product line in December.
The company decided to delay shipping from its originally announced late-April target due to additional quality control tests it is making on the replacement brakes.
The company is asking customers waiting on the replacement brakes to contact their dealers so dealers can get their brake orders into SRAM. Replacement model year 2015 hydraulic road aftermarket brakes will ship to dealers late May.
