WHISTLER, British Columbia (BRAIN)—Roughly 25 international media were in attendance for Norco's launch of its 2008 line at Crankworx.
They had the pleasure of getting to test out 35 Norco '08 mountain bikes. Participants had the chance to spend a few hours on a Shore, Aline, or Team DH in the bike park, then quickly switch over to a Faze or Fluid LT and take a spin through the Lost Lake trails.
“Everyone was really excited about the new Shore and Six platforms,” said Trisha Petrella, public relations and marketing coordinator for Norco. “Those bikes were constantly in use and have gotten some really positive feedback. There was also a lot of buzz about the graphics and decaling on all the new bikes—everyone seemed really excited about the overall look of the new bikes, especially the dirt/street series.”
Norco’s goal for ’08 was to reaffirm its prominence in the freeride category. “Although the Shore/Freeride categories were the bikes that originally put Norco out onto the International bike scene, we really wanted people to know that despite the influx of so many new players, we’re still making stellar bikes in this category,” Petrella said.
