BMC will re-release the 2009 Pro Machine and knock down the price from $3,899 to $2,999. The Swiss Bike Company will also get ride of model years so dealers can maintain the value of their current inventory.
Blue Competition Cycles will release three new versions of its entry-level RD 1 road bike to help cover the martket better.
DT Swiss RRC 1250 comes with a ceramic bearing hub and weighs 1,250 grams. The wheel, which is the first carbon model to be manufactured in-house in DT Swiss' Switzerland factory, retails for $3,900 and is ready will be ready to ship in the next few weeks.
Gore's new Ride-on Professional Cablle System was developed with SRAM and incorporates a new coating technology to deliver 20 percent less friction. A set retails for $65 and is best used for road racing or touring.
Gore's new Windstopper loose fit pant for Fall '09 has stretch fabric, reflective Velcro on the legs and zip-off legs. It retails for $199 and also comes in three-quarter length.
The new Lazer Tardiz TT helmet has front and rear vents for active air flow and an aqua vent on top where water can be poured. Specific channels then distribute the liquid evenly over the rider's head. The helmet incorporates Lazer's RollSys tightening system. It weighs 350 grams.
The Saris T-Bones is a lightweight, aluminum and polypropelene trunk rack. Saris is also working on a new product to address first time bike buyers at retail. That will be introduced later this year.
The Smith Pivlock V-90 and V-90 Max interchangable lens sunglass comes without any extra frame material, keeping the glasses lightweight with an unobstructed view. The temple arms rotate upward to change out the lens with ease. It retails for $139 or $119 with one lens.
