ORLANDO, Fla. (BRAIN) — Catrike has hired three new factory employees, and added to its sales team. The company also announced a new PR agency of record.
The recumbent trike manufacturer, which produces all its frames at its own factory in Florida, said the new hires resulted from continued sales growth.
"The season started early this year, and we are working strategically to keep up with demand, but the beautiful thing about our in-house production is that it's scalable," said general manager Mark Egeland. "We just to need to plug more operators into our 'Cat Way' production system and we can produce the same high-quality product at a higher rate."
Thijs Shutte is the new addition to the sales team. He has more than 12 years' experience in bicycle retail. Shutte, who grew up in the Netherlands before moving to Orlando, will be working with the sales team to open new international markets for Catrike. "His lifelong immersion in bicycle culture will benefit Catrike as it expands into new markets," the company stated.
Catrike's new PR firm is Vermell Creative, which will focus on media relations and marketing initiatives to create more brand awareness.
"This is an excellent opportunity to work with an innovative, market-leading organization," said Vermell's director, Philip Booth. "Catrike is impressive from its product design to their award-winning U.S. manufacturing. It has a great history of innovation, production and is unwavering in its support of retailers. It is a story we are excited to tell."
