WILTON, Conn. (BRIAN) — Cycling Sports Group, a division of Dorel Industries, has hired Justin McCarthy as manager of public relations for North America. McCarthy previously handled media relations in the fitness and outdoor segments at Garmin International.

McCarthy will work closely with media to create awareness and drive demand for CSG's suite of cycling products, the company said.

CSG also promoted Harrison Leavens to sales operations manager for North America. Leavens joined CSG in 2013 as an inside sales rep and in 2014 was promoted to outside sales rep for South Florida. Before joining CSG Leavens worked for bike shops in the Washington, D.C., and New York City metro areas.

Leavens will contribute to inventory management and retailer program development for CSG's North America business, in addition to implementing new sales processes.

CSG also promoted Joe Morreale to vice president finance, CSG North America, where he will continue to support the U.S. and Canadian business.

"We're thrilled to welcome Justin to the CSG family, and can't wait for his passion and energy towards cycling to be shared," said Nick Hage, general manager IBD for the U.S.  "His ability to simplify and clearly communicate innovation will be key as we continue to push the limits within our cycling lineup."

"During his tenure with CSG, Harrison has displayed an uncanny work ethic and combined with his experience with IBDs is the perfect fit for this role," said Brandon Fravel, director of sales operations, North America. "By implementing training and sales processes Harrison will continue to have a positive impact on our business and help more effectively align rep activities to the needs of the IBD."
