LOS ANGELES (BRAIN) — Organizers of the Amgen Tour of California on Tuesday announced the route of this year’s event. The race will include four stages for women, May 11-14, covering 256 miles. The men's race is May 14-20 with seven stages covering 575 miles.
This is the first year the men's race will be part of the UCI WorldTour and the first men's WorldTour event held in the U.S. Last year's women's Tour of California was part of the debut UCI Women's WorldTour.

- STAGE 1, SUNDAY, MAY 14, Sacramento start/finish, 104 miles.
- STAGE 2, MONDAY, MAY 15, Modesto to San Jose, 88.8 miles
- STAGE 3, TUESDAY, MAY 16, Pismo Beach to Morro Bay, 113.7 miles
- STAGE 4, WEDNESDAY, MAY 17, Santa Barbara to Santa Clarita, 100.3 miles
- STAGE 5, THURSDAY, MAY 18, Ontario to Mt. Baldy, 77.9 miles
- STAGE 6, FRIDAY, MAY 19, Big Bear Lake Time Trial, 14.2 miles
- STAGE 7 SATURDAY, MAY 20, Mountain High to Pasadena, 77 miles
Women’s route:
- STAGE 1, THURSDAY, MAY 11, South Lake Tahoe, 72.7 miles
- STAGE 2, FRIDAY, MAY 12, South Lake Tahoe, 67.1 miles
- STAGE 3, SATURDAY, MAY 13, Elk Grove to Sacramento, 73.3 miles
