SANTA CRUZ, Calif. (BRAIN) — Industry veteran Jon Forsberg has joined Ibis Cycles as COO. Forsberg, most recently of Specialized, has more than 23 years of experience in the bicycle industry, including stints with Santa Cruz Bicycles and Bontrager Cycles.
"I feel like I have the most to contribute working for a smaller company like Ibis, and it's always been the kind of environment I've found the most rewarding," said Forsberg.
"This will be the third company that I've worked at with Hans (Heim, a part owner of Ibis), and I've known and worked with Tom Morgan, Roxy Lo and Scot Nicol almost as long. They've got a great team and I'm looking forward to joining with them. Ibis has already achieved so much, and I hope that I can help them get to the next level."
Heim said, "Jon's one of the guys I've been able to rely upon throughout my career. He's done it all, and it's a great luxury to have someone who you can trust to take on any challenge and nail it. But he's just a great guy to work with as well."
Forsberg will start at Ibis on July 25.
