MINNEAPOLIS (BRAIN) — Dero has added a map to its website showing locations of its Fixit public bike repair stations worldwide.
The crowd-sourced map currently features more than 700 public bike repair locations.
"By creating this map, we hope it will help bicyclists to find a Fixit when they're in a pinch. We want people to be able get home or to a bike shop safely," said map creator Colin Klotzbach, a designer at Dero.
Dero has been collecting coordinates of its Fixit locations for the past year, in part by capturing the locations of users who scan the QR codes on the Fixit with their mobile phones. Currently, Dero Fixits can be found in Australia, Canada, Denmark, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Switzerland, United Kingdom, and United States, including Puerto Rico.
