Apparel maker 7mesh names brand ambassadors

Published April 20, 2015

SQUAMISH, British Columbia (BRAIN) — Squamish apparel brand 7mesh has named an Ambassador Team that will share their adventures wearing the company's clothing on multi-hour and multi-day rides.

The team, which consists mostly of athletes local to 7mesh's home base of British Columbia, includes:

Three-time Ironman World Champion Peter Reid, who joined the 7mesh project when in its infancy. Reid fell in love with mountain biking while living in Squamish after his retirement from professional racing and now explores rainforest singletrack from his home base in Cumberland, B.C.

Morgan Taylor, a former Vancouverite with a background in video and media now based in the Selkirk Mountains. Taylor rides everything from gravel roads to singletrack to snow fields.

Harald Philipp, a leading proponent of bike mountaineering, which combines alpine climbing and mountain bike descending. He will document adventures from his outpost in an abandoned mountain town near the French/Italian border

Quinn Moberg, a 20-year-old Squamish local who won the BC Bike Race team category in 2014.

Revelstoke local Stu Dickson, 19, who recently won the first round of the Trans NZ Enduro series.

"We're excited to be working with a great group of people right out of the gate," said Brian Goldstone, 7mesh's director of marketing. "Our goal is a diverse team of ambassadors that represent the broad range of cycling but also embody our overall philosophy of just having fun on your bike."

The team of 7mesh Ambassador Team will continue to grow, and riders "driven by the spirit of multi-day and multi-hour adventures" are invited to send their stories to 7mesh and apply to join. The focus this season is to add female and skinny-tired riders to the team.
