REDONDO BEACH, CA (BRAIN) — Red Kite Prayer has hired two new advertising sales people. Sean Morrissey and Fred Lindstrom have joined advertising sales director Wayne Thompson. The publisher of the Red Kite Prayer web site also anounced a new industry staffing service.
Morrissey is based in Northern California and will focus primarily on accounts in that region.
Lindstrom is based in Southern California and will focus primarily on accounts in that region. His background includes advertising and branding agencies as well as a stint at SRAM and work in the trenches of bike shops.
“With the addition of Sean and Fred it allows RKP to more deeply collaborate with our sponsors and puts people on the ground in the road cycling epicenters of Southern California and the Bay Area,” says Thompson.
“Bottom line—I needed guys who understand relationships, understand selling, understand RKP,” Red Kite Prayer publisher Patrick Brady says. “Like Wayne, Sean and Fred have demonstrated the value they can provide an organization. I’m very fortunate to have them on my team.”
RKP's new business-to-business staffing service is called Red Kite Project.
“My position puts me in touch with a number of extraordinarily bright people,” said Brady. “Unfortunately, this has been a lean time for the industry. I know a great many talented and hard-working bike industry pros who are either under-employed or unemployed. Their abilities ought to be put to greater use.”
Shana Reid, Brady’s wife, will match the talent to the client’s needs. Reid has more than 10 years in staffing and recruiting.
“We’ve got everything from copywriters, photographers and videographers to engineers and project managers. I’m confident that if a company has a short-term need, we can help them because we’ve already vetted the talent,” Brady said.
Red Kite Prayer will be at Malakye’s Schmoozapalooza job fair on Friday afternoon at Interbike.
