BTI adds seatpost service

The repair service is available exclusively to bike shops. It restores full functionality to posts with worn out seals and actuators.

Supporters break ground for Cleveland velodrome
CLEVELAND, OH (BRAIN) Wednesday May 2 2012 9:35 AM MT—A Cleveland nonprofit has hired a contractor to build a new velodrome on leased land in the city's Slavic Village neighborhood. The track is set to open June 16.
A groundbreaking ceremony was held Tuesday and steel for the track frame is expected to arrive next week. V-Worldwide is building the 166-meter track.
The nonprofit, Fast Track Cycling, raised $300,000 for the project, including a $50,000 grant from The Cleveland Foundation.
Fast Track is seeking volunteers during May and early June to help with landscaping, painting, track assembly and track programming.
V-Worldwide built and operates the International Velodrome at Bloomer Park in Rochester Hills, Michgan. More recently, V-Worldwide built the track for the Chicago Velo Campus, a track identical to the one that will be built in Cleveland.
Saris announces bike corral contest
MADISON, WI (BRAIN) Wednesday May 2 2012 10:24 AM MT—Saris Cycling Group is hosting a bike corral contest in which one community will receive a free Saris Bike Corral for its business district.
“Many communities are seeing increases of bike riding for commuting and transportation purposes of upwards of 70 percent," said Saris parking product manager Sarah Reiter. "Providing adequate, high-quality bike parking to support this level of ridership is critical to making the bike a mainstream transportation and lifestyle choice."

ENVE Composites cuts exclusive deal on Zyvex material
OGDEN, UT (BRAIN) Wednesday May 2 2012 9:47 AM MT—ENVE Composites has reached an exclusive agreement with Zyvex Technologies to use nano-enhanced carbon
fiber in ENVE’s downhill rims and wheelsets.
ENVE rims using the new fibers began shipping earlier this year.
Zyvex's fiber technology is said to provide an advantage in toughness. Last year top pro Steve Peat raced on the same pair of ENVE DH wheels throughout the entire season.
ENVE has an exclusive license for its use in cycling applications.
Zyvex Technologies is based in Columbus, Ohio.
Cycles Brixton to distribute Proviz high-visibility clothing in U.S.
Cycles Brixton International is the new U.S. distributor for Proviz, a maker of high-visibility clothing and accessories, including light-emmitting clothing.
Britain-based Proviz makes helmets, jackets, rucksacks, rucksack covers and other cycling products that contain its light-emitting technology.
Proviz continues to be distributed in the U.K. by Moore Large & Co.
Pat Casey joins Team Haro
