COLORADO SPRINGS, CO (BRAIN) Friday April 13 2012 4:00 AM MT—Former Facebook vice president Jonathan Heiliger and former sports marketing executive Alex Nieroth are the newest members of the USA Cycling board of directors. Each is joining as an at-large representative.
“Both Alex and Jonathan bring a wealth of experience to the board in vital areas for our organization,” said USA Cycling President & CEO Steve Johnson. “I look forward to working with them and utilizing their many talents as we continue to foster the growth and development of our sport nationwide.”
The USA Cycling board of directors is still searching to fill its final at-large seat.
FasCat Coaching launches online power meter store
BOULDER, CO (BRAIN) Thursday April 12 2012 3:55 PM MT—Many cycling coaches sell power meters to their clients. Boulder's FasCat Coaching is going a step further by launching an ecommerce site, fascatpowermeters.com.
FasCat offers power meter purchasers a free month of coaching, including a coaching consultation, a wattage-based field test, a custom training calendar, and daily coaching feedback. The company also offers technical software support for the life of the power meter.

Hydrapak supplying bladders for Shimano and The North Face hydration packs
OAKLAND, CA (BRAIN) Thursday April 12 2012 4:07 PM MT—Hydrapak is supplying OEM hydration reservoirs to Shimano, and The North Face, the company announced Thursday.
Shimano is offering a line of hydration packs in Europe. In addition to including the Shimano-branded bladders with the packs, Shimano will sell the 3-Liter Elite Reservoir as an aftermarket product.
“We are excited to welcome Shimano and The North Face to our growing list of customers,” said Hydrapak’s director of sales Matt Patterson, “These brands are consistent innovators and market leaders in their respective sports; we are honored to have the opportunity to collaborate with them in their product design process.”

ASI hires Chuck Webster as New England Territory Manager
PHILADELPHIA, PA (BRAIN) Thursday April 12 2012 4:19 PM MT—Advanced Sports International, parent company of Fuji, SE, Kestrel, Breezer, and Oval Concepts, has hired Chuck Webster as its New England Territory Manager.
Webster began his career in the industry as a teenager breaking down boxes, fixing flats, and sweeping floors in his local bike shop. He worked his way to the top quickly, owning his own shop by age 21. He then worked as a territory rep and sales manager with Miyata Bicycle before joining Schwinn/GT as a sales representative.
“Chuck’s an industry veteran that brings a wide range of experience and knowledge to the ASI sales force,” said Frank Zimmer, ASI national sales manager. “He’s a great addition, and we look forward to growing our business in such an integral region.”
