Kelly Burr Leaves Marin After 24 Years

Published June 13, 2011

NOVATO, CA (BRAIN)—Kelly Burr, Marin Bikes vice president of operations and product, has left the company to pursue new opportunities personally and professionally. “After 24 years at Marin Bikes, it was a hard decision to depart, but in the end, I know it’s the right thing to do,” said Burr. “I am leaving on a high note and am excited to see what the future holds."

"I’ve been with this company since shortly after its inception and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed building the brand worldwide and watching it grow. I have had the good fortune to be an instrumental part of the team that guided Marin Bikes and helped steward it through its infancy to where the company is today,” said Burr. “I am proud that I helped manage this growth over nearly a quarter century of business. It has been a pleasure to be associated with this brand worldwide and I see a bright future for both Marin Bikes as well as for myself."

With the assistance of Burr, the Marin Bikes brand experienced significant U.S. dealer base growth over the last decade. The company added key staff, opened key retail direct groups like REI and grew distribution of the Marin Bikes brand worldwide. Burr leaves the company during a period of strong momentum and with a capable team in place to continue record-setting growth.

Burr has started his own bicycle industry consulting firm and can be reached at kellysburr@yahoo.com or by phone at 415-265-1514.
