VISTA, CA (BRAIN)—Canari Cyclewear has appointed Erik DeKold as its custom sales director. This change redirects DeKold's focus from IBD sales management to custom team, club and shop sales and department management.
DeKold will be responsible for maintaining Canari's existing worldwide custom accounts while also finding new opportunities with the help of Canari's outside rep force and inside sales team, according to a press release. This adjustment will take place over the course of a couple months as a soon-to-be-announced new national sales manager takes on DeKold's former day-to-day responsibilities.
DeKold has worked with Canari and their products in some capacity for the past 11 years. From managing a highly successful North Florida Canari stocking bike shop, to working as a sales rep for the brand covering parts of Florida, eventually accepting a promotion offer and moving to San Diego as its national sales manager, DeKold is as familiar with Canari as it gets.
“My experience working for or with Canari over the past decade has been nothing but a fantastic experience. It has been exciting to watch the company grow and improve year after year, and to know that I have been an integral part of that is extremely rewarding," DeKold said.
Everyone at Canari Cyclewear is excited about the restructuring and dedicated focus DeKold will be able to provide considering the 25 percent to 30 percent growth that the brand has experienced each year over the past few years under his direction.
"Erik's product knowledge combined with his experience working with and being on teams will be a strong asset for growing our custom department and servicing our custom clientele," said Scot Robinson, Canari Cyclewear’s president.
