WOODINVILLE, WA (BRAIN)—Full Speed Ahead is moving its U.S. warehouse and offices from Woodinville to Mukilteo, Washington next week, a move it hopes will be the least disruptive since its Taiwan factory is closed during the Chinese New Year, which falls on Feb. 3. FSA expects to be closed from Feb. 2-7 as it makes the transition.
“It gives us all of January to get distributor orders out and take care of early season demand,” said Matt VanEnkevort, managing director of FSA North America. “During Chinese New Year, the volume of communication with our factory goes down so it’s a perfect opportunity to move during a natural quiet time.”
VanEnkevort said FSA outgrew its previous warehouse and office space. With the new 17,600-square-foot leased warehouse, FSA nearly doubles its capacity. It also is able to consolidate all inventory into one warehouse building. Before, VanEnkevort said inventory was housed in four different property units that were next to each other, but still posed a bigger headache and drained resources.
Mukilteo is a community north of Seattle, about 14 miles from Woodinville but roughly the same distance from the port. It is home to many machinists and high tech manufacturing companies that service Boeing. For most of the 16 people who work at FSA, the commute into work will be about the same, VanEnkevort said.
FSA had been planning the move for the past five months, and more recently has renovated the office space, set up warehouse racks and started moving some inventory over.
FSA’s new address is:
12212 Cyrus Way
Mukilteo, WA 98275
Phone and fax numbers will remain the same.
