LAGUNA NIGUEL, CA (BRAIN)—Lifeboat Events, in cooperation with the League of American Bicyclists, is launching of Urban PressCamp.
The media event will provide transportation cycling brands intimate access to critical media outlets, according to a press release. Scheduled for March 6-8, the media event will bring leading asphalt and multi-modal bike and accessory brands together at the House of Sweden in Washington D.C. on the eve of the National Bike Summit.
The National Bike Summit, now in its 11th year, brings cycling's collective voice to Capitol Hill in the industry's effort to lobby on behalf of alternative
transportation issues and other topics affecting cycling.
Urban PressCamp is designed to expose the brands deeply invested in the transportation segment and highlight the issues surrounding the market segment.
"There's no better way to make the case for cycling than to have people get on a bike and ride. PressCamp participants will experience the incredible products available for today's urban cyclist and see the potential bicycling has to improve the quality of life in our cities. The connection to the National Bike Summit, where the bicycling movement comes together to present one simple solution, is perfect,” said Andy Clarke, president of the League of American Bicyclists.
Urban PressCamp will open Sunday, March 6 with an evening reception. Monday, March 7 will feature media visits with the brands punctuated by an evening’s "Gentlemen’s Allycat scavenger hunt," culminating with dinner on the bike. Tuesday will be the final visitation day for journalists and a special VIP access to a limited number of retailers and advocates attending the NBS.
Urban PressCamp will be held at the House of Sweden in Washington D.C., which houses the Embassy of Sweden, the Embassy of Iceland and an ultra-modern event Center. A stunning example of contemporary Scandinavian architecture designed by Gert Wingårdh and Tomas Hansen, House of Sweden
is situated on the Potomac River wrapped by Rock Creek National Park, miles of bike paths and easy access to downtown.
Lifeboat Events is now accepting space contracts for Urban PressCamp, which will be limited to 20 brands. Interested brands can learn more about the event pricing and further details by visiting www.urbanpresscamp.com (click on link).
