Published October 26, 2010

IRVINE, CA (BRAIN)—Felt Bicycles has hired Bill Childers as its new communications manager.

“Felt has experienced tremendous growth over the past 18 months, yet there are still so many things that we want to do better from an informational standpoint,” said Felt marketing director Doug Martin. “Bill is a great acquisition, not only for his writing expertise, but also for his insight into the cycling community. He has already developed novel marketing communication concepts and has taken steps to improve the interaction between Felt and its customers.”

Childers earned a J.D. from the University of Cincinnati College of Law in 2009. He was also a member of the UC Cycling team. Prior to Law School, Childers earned his bachelor’s in English and Political Science with Honors from Wittenberg University.

During his time in school, Childers worked as a bike mechanic and authored tech articles for a cycling Web site. He also competed as an amateur road racer in Columbus, Ohio for the past five years.

“I am really excited to be a part of the cycling industry, and I am particularly enthusiastic to be working with the team at Felt,” said Childers. “It’s a company I have long admired for its engineering prowess and its reputation among athletes and enthusiasts. I am eager to extend Felt’s brand presence and expose Felt products to consumers.”

Childers can be reached at (949) 268-4470 or billchilders@feltbicycles.com.
