CHATTANOOGA, TN (BRAIN)—The Pro Walk/Pro Bike conference is coming up on September 13 - 16 in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
"We are expecting more than 800 people at this year's conference, making Pro Walk/Pro Bike North America's premier conference on walking, biking, and, well, livability," said Mark Plotz of the National Center for Bicycling and Walking. "As an attendee, you will be able to choose from 70-plus panel sessions, 60-plus poster presentations, and a host of mobile workshops over the course of the four day conference."
The Pro Walk/Pro Bike conference has a rich history of bringing together advocates, transportation agency staff members, consultants, planners, engineers, and elected officials to create communities that are more walkable and bicycle-friendly; these communities are healthier, more economically vibrant, more sustainable, and more livable.
"We will have a strong lineup of panel sessions, with presentations being made by many distinguished professionals," Plotz said. "But we also know that a person can only take so much of being inside, and that is why we are offering some great mobile workshops. The workshops will give you a chance to see more of Chattanooga, a city that has undergone a renaissance as it has embraced walking, bicycling, mixed use neighborhoods, and its many natural amenities."
