ALEXANDRIA, Australia (BRAIN)—Sola Sport will distribute Bianchi across Australia and New Zealand.
“We are thrilled to be taking on this prestigious Italian brand, known and loved around the world. Given that it is celebrating its 125th anniversary this year, Bianchi is legendary in the cycling world—a wonderful heritage,” said Paul Feltis, Sola Sport’s general manager of bikes.
Sola Sport arranged a transition from the existing distributor in Australia and is already shipping Bianchi products. The company will continue its focus on the road category but also expand to mountain bikes, fixies and city/commuter bikes.
“We have experienced 10 good years in Australia with our distributor, BikeSportz, and thank them for their work. We feel that the time is right for Bianchi to move to the next level and are convinced that Sola Sport is the perfect partner for the future of Bianchi,” said Richard Stroem, Bianchi’s director of global marketing.
The Bianchi 2011 range will be launched at the AusBike Show, August 21 to 23, at the Flemington Showground’s in Melbourne.
