SANTA FE, NM (BRAIN)—Cinelli USA, a sales and marketing division of U.S. distributor BTI, has been granted exclusive rights to sell Cinelli framesets and complete bikes into Canada.
"We're pleased to announce that we are now adding Cinelli dealer territories in Canada," said Ben Coffey, U.S. brand manager for Cinelli in a press release. "We invite former Cinelli dealers and new shops who may be interested in becoming dealers to give us a call. We've addressed the distribution issues that have faced Canadian Cinelli dealers historically and we're ready to begin the rebuilding process."
Cinelli-USA has a strong relationship with the parent office in Italy and good product availability. The distributor has gone to lengths to add value to the brand, working with dealers to offer Cinelli customers a great buying experience. Cinelli-USA supplements the manufacturer's two year warranty with its own a crash replacement program, a North American model specific website, and a dealer locator service.
Cinelli products are sold through a two track distribution system within the U.S. Cinelli components (bars, stems, saddles and accessories) are available from a variety of sources. However, Cinelli's namesake framesets are available exclusively through Cinelli authorized dealers. Assigned on a territory by territory basis, Cinelli's authorized dealers are given space to grow with the goal of nurturing sales and the development of the brand. "It's a brand that's well suited to specialty retailers. Cinelli has small order minimums and good name recognition among the cognoscenti," Coffey said.
