The Belgian postal service 'De Post' has released a limited edition Eddy Merckx postage stamp.
'De Post' released this stamp to honor the cycling legend, one of Belgium’s the most famous residents. Mr. Merckx will celebrate his 65th birthday this year so the Belgian postal service thought it was the right timing for the release of this special stamp. The stamp was unveiled on April 22 in Brussels. A special ceremony was held for the event which the Belgian prime minister Yves Leterme and Eddy Merckx himself attended.
