SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (BRAIN)—Specialized has opened a state of the art service center in its new Western U.S. distribution center in Salt Lake City.
The center, located in the new distribution building, has been updated and re-tooled in order to provide suspension and mechanical service to Specialized bikes, wheels, parts and accessories. The space was designed using
knowledge gathered from the service area in the former SLC facility.
“With our new service center, the bench layout gives our techs almost double the space to do wheel and suspension service,” said Richard Wheeler, Specialized service center
manager. “The main benefit to the new set up is our designated small parts room, though. It’s laid out very efficiently and is super simple for anyone to pull parts for services and orders. This helps us better serve our domestic and international customers’ needs.”
The center came online simultaneously with Specialized’s new S-Tune suspension service and customization program, offering ride tuning of Specialized-branded suspension components to consumers through Specialized dealers.
An expanded and efficient range of Roval wheel services is also available at Salt Lake City, from bearing maintenance to complete re-lacing of all Roval wheelsets.
Wheeler said that the efficiency of the new setup will allow for a 24 to 48 hour turnover time in most situations.
