BOULDER, CO (BRAIN)—SmartEtailing, the industry’s leading producer of Web site solutions for specialty retailers, and Growth Cycle, producer of the Selling Cycling staff training program used by over 1,600 stores, are again aligning for the mutual benefit of their clients.
Growth Cycle introduced a new training concept to the supplier community at last month’s Interbike: Brand and Technology Modules (BTM), to make Selling Cycling more focused on the big picture for each brand and less on the details of specific products.
Growth Cycle will produce about 300 of these two-to-three minute modules, for use with Selling Cycling, for each brand’s own training program, and for transfer to DVD for in-store rep clinics.
SmartEtailing gains a global exclusive to present consumer-voiced versions of the BTMs in its retailer's websites. Consumers browsing products from participating suppliers in the retailer's Web site will enjoy an enhanced shopping experience by being able to view the BTM as part of the product presentation.
“The SmartEtailing partnership is something I hoped would come to fruition,” said Ray Keener, Growth Cycle's president. “It’s so powerful to have the same content on the dealer’s site as on the training site. That way, staff and customer are speaking the same language right from the start.”
“We’ve worked successfully with Ray on other projects, and we look forward to more fantastic content that thrills our clients and helps them grow their businesses," said Barry Brenner, co-founder of SmartEtailing.
"Any tool that can help us educate retailer staff to the quality and performance of our products is essential to success,” said Scott Montgomery of Scott USA. “We support the full Selling Cycling Brand and Technology package. Now with the addition of the SmartEtailing alliance, we feel the value added by the modules on all the top retailer websites just raises the bar farther."
Dave Hostetter of Highway 2 concurred. “We’re looking forward to having Continental, Fizik, Brooks, and Selle Royal in Selling Cycling again this year. And, of course, the SmartEtailing content delivery to consumers turns a good program and value into a great one.”
A full list of participating Selling Cycling suppliers will be in the November issue of BRAIN. BTMs will be available to SmartEtailing clients, Selling Cycling users and participating suppliers beginning in January 2010. Click on link for a two-minute demo of a BTM on Bontrager saddles.
