Industry Veterans Form Merchandising Firm

BOULDER, CO (BRAIN)—Kevin Cox and Holly Wiese have teamed up to create their own strategic retail design and visual merchandising company, 3 Dots Design.

Cox and Wiese are no strangers to the world of retail, bringing over 35 collective years of experience to their clients. They spent three years working together at Giant Bicycle where they designed, created and rolled out its concept store program called GRP – Giant Retail Partnership.

Wiese said the GRP program saw great success in helping grow the company’s brand image via cutting edge, contemporary retail designs, but she saw it could only go so far. “As much freedom as we did have with Giant, we both knew we were still creatively limited in that environment,” Wiese said.

When Wiese left Giant in May, it marked the perfect time for her and Cox to return to their roots and partner with independent retail establishments. Taking their ideas to a broader audience, Cox and Wiese partnered to form 3 Dots Design. The 3 Dots Design team will create enticing retail environments and in-store merchandising programs that promote the retailer’s brand.

“Holly and I are excited about working directly with retailers again, helping them to build their brand and become the ‘store of choice’ within their community,” said Cox.

Cox and Wiese bring very different, yet equally relevant skill sets to the partnership. Cox has over 20 years experience in sales and marketing and brand and business development. His diverse background includes executive positions in technology, fashion and lifestyle apparel, and the action sports industries.

Wiese boasts more than 15 years experience in design and visual merchandising for such brands as Fleet Feet Sports, Hind Sportswear, Moving Comfort and Pearl Izumi where she developed and implemented their successful concept shop program.

3 Dots Design rounded out its team with the recent addition of Andy Davis, who brings over 18 years experience in the cycling industry and worked closely with Cox and Wiese at Giant Bicycle in the retail development department.

“At 3 Dots Design, our goal is simple: connecting the dots between the brand vision and consumers’ needs through high impact retail design and creative merchandising programs,” Cox said.
