SAN CARLOS, CA (BRAIN)—Ritchey Design/Syncros USA has promoted Nate Shaw, former top caliber inside sales motor, to national retail sales manager.
Under this new title, Shaw will manage three customer groups: Retail Direct, Builder Sales and Grassroots Team businesses.
Shaw grew up in the bike business working in his father's store, Shaw's Cycles in Santa Clara, California. He also logged a stretch at Bianchi USA.
Former national retail sales manager, Pat Smith is now Ritchey's first-ever, employee based Bay Area territory manager.
"Pat has an incredible ability to join with people in the most authentic manner, making him my first choice for this new position, one I have wanted to establish since arriving at Ritchey," said Steve Parke, Ritchey Design general manager and vice president of marketing. "The home market is very important to us as we are one of the few bike business companies still based in the Bay Area. Pat has the local retailer relationships to significantly grow the Ritchey and Syncros brands."
Nick Hanni, Ritchey Design's newest hire, will assist Shaw in serving the Retail, Builder and Team segments. Hanni joins the Ritchey team bringing significant industry expertise. He spent time at Bianchi USA as well as Lombardi Sports in San Francisco. Hanni also gained unique experience working with motor bikes while selling Ducati, Triumph and Moto Guzzi at Munroe Motors, a motorcycle retailer.
Working in the motorcycle industry, Hanni became familiar with the value of the precision designs used in the most demanding applications.
"Nick will be a great culture fit within our design-based brands," Parke said.
