GRENCHEN, Switzerland (BRAIN)—Swiss bicycle producer BMC has named its head of marketing and communications, Markus Zehnder, as its managing director after an abrupt split with his predecessor, Peter Kreuder.
BMC and Kreuder “have decided by mutual agreement to go different ways,” said Andreas Georgiadis, BMC’s chief executive officer.
“This regrettable decision has been made as a result of different opinions regarding the enterprise’s strategy. BMC thanks Peter Kreuder for his strong dedication and hard work he has put in for BMC and wishes him all the best for his professional and private future,” Georgiadis added.
Zehnder, a business economist, joined BMC four years ago as export manager and “imprinted crucially the development of all export markets and managed in a second step the European business as well as the so important Swiss market,” and was has been head of marketing and communications since February 1, Georgiadis said.
“BMC is glad to assure continuity with Markus Zehnder and to maintain the deep confidence of the staff and the customers permitting to pursue smoothly our successful development,” he added.
