CANTON, MA (BRAIN)—Kryptonite, a brand in Ingersoll Rand’s Security Technologies Sector, has appointed Karen Rizzo as general manager.
Rizzo has significant experience with the brand having started with the company in 1994 in a marketing capacity. Throughout the years her marketing roles took on more general managerial responsibilities, culminating in the general manager position. This change is effective immediately.
“Kryptonite has a long history as an industry leader both in design and service,” Rizzo said. “Going forward, Kryptonite will be investing in product innovations which will complement and boost the reinvigoration of the brand started through our recent marketing efforts. We will also strive to improve all operational aspects of our business to offer even greater value to our customers.”
Prior to her role as general manager, Rizzo held the position of director of brand management at the company for several years while increasingly assisting in the general business responsibilities. Before that, she was the director of marketing for half a decade and started with the company as marketing manager.
Her career experience outside of Kryptonite includes media marketing consultancy, advertising agency account management and consumer products marketing with several firms. She holds a degree in management from Johnson & Wales University.
“For the last 14 years, I’ve had the privilege to be a part of this dynamic brand,” Rizzo said. “It is my intention to reclaim the spirit, the essence if you will, of the Kryptonite brand that everyone internally and externally loves so passionately. We will do that by hard work and reconnecting with our customers better than we have in a long while.”
Reporting directly to Rizzo are the following: Tim Clifford, director of sales; Alison Donlan, senior product manager; Roberta Fahey, customer service supervisor; Donna Tocci, marketing manager; Rob Zuraski, director of product development and design.
Rizzo will be based primarily at Kryptonite’s world headquarters in Canton, Massachusetts.
