SANTA FE, NM (BRAIN)—Weighing in at 900 pages and nearly six pounds, BTI's new distribution catalog is no lightweight.
This year BTI added 100 pages to its primary sales tool, which now totals over 18,000 individual SKUs.
BTI buyers spent the winter months solidifying new relationships with a number of high profile brands for '08: Commencal bikes, Campagnolo, Fulcrum, Pro-Tec, 3T, Pacenti, Yokozuna, Spinner forks, Cycra Racing, Honka Hoota, and Simbree—bringing BTI's portfolio to nearly 300 unique brands.
"We are very excited to have these prestigious companies on board. Shops that purchase from BTI can choose from a wider selection of road components and protection apparel. We also offer a more comprehensive offering of complete bikes, so BTI dealers can cater to everyone from the casual weekend rider to the enthusiast looking for something truly out of the ordinary," said Andrew Wright, BTI's president.
For 2008 the company remains committed to holding its minimum order size at just $25 per shipment.
BTI has taken on a new role as exclusive distributor for two brands that are returning to the U.S. BTI is facilitating the stateside comeback of Commencal bikes and Italian frame builder Cinelli. Both manufacturers have signed exclusive deals partnering with BTI to distribute, market and support their products. These brands are being sold through newly established Authorized Dealer channels on a territory basis, a move designed to protect independent dealers and provide sustainable growth as each gains a foothold in the U.S. marketplace.
BTI advises BRAIN readers that its active dealers should have received their catalog by today. Dealers missing their 2008 catalog or would like additional copies should contact BTI at 800-558-8324. A non-priced version of the catalog for counter use is also available for $10.00.
