"Some might wonder how it was that such a soft spoken, diminutive old man could gain his 'Big Guy' nickname. It’s simple, because Dick Burke was a giant in the industry to which he and his family have committed themselves. A commitment that has led to a variety of breakthrough technologies like their OCLV Carbon, seven Tour de France victories, multiple mountain bike championships and most important of all, hundreds of thousands of pedal strokes by every day cyclists looking for a way to enhance their lives. America became a player in bicycle production, technology and history thanks to Dick Burke. He will be missed.
