VANCOUVER, British Columbia (BRAIN)—Momentum, a magazine following transportation cycling, is dressing itself up and switching around its staff as its target market is growing quickly.
“We're putting the finishing touches on our revised business plan. 2008 will be remembered as the year transportation cycling took hold in North America,” said Amy Walker, Momentum’s publisher. “We'll be kicking off 2008 in January with a 'City Bike Showcase' to reflect the shift in the North American market toward bikes built for everyday utility riders.”
The magazine welcomes Mia Kohout who is taking over Momentum's advertising sales from Colin MacKenzie. Kohout organized greater Vancouver's hugely successful Bike to Work Week with the Vancouver Area Cycling Coalition last year and will be doing so again this spring. Contact Kohout at mia@momentumplanet.com or at (778) 833-3773.
Momentum’s Coming to Ground columnist Robin Wheeler will no longer be submitting a regular column, but will write occasional articles. Terry Lowe remains the magazine’s editor and can be contacted at editor@momentumplanet.com.
Colin MacKenzie is taking a break from advertising sales but will still be involved with Momentum. Watch for his blog, Unpopular Mechanic, which will reflect his day to day experiences as an urban bike courier.
