MORGANTOWN, WV (BRAIN)—It seems as though Cannondale saved its biggest news for the last day at its recent dealer launch in the rugged hills of West Virginia.
Move over Trek and Specialized, there’s going to be a new player for accessories. “As a company who began making bags, tents and trailers, Cannondale has always been a leader in innovation,” said Bill Rudell, marketing manager for Cannondale. “The new line of accessories from Cannondale is no different.”
Cannondale’s new pump line offers seven hand pumps and four floor models. Also part of its 2008 accessory line is a stem lamp, locks, computers and a headwrench multi-tool.
“Our ultimate goal is to provide our retailers with a full-service Cannondale where we can provide product for all four walls of the store with a competitive and sellable point of difference,” said Dave Manchester, vice president of sales for Cannondale. Cannondale will only be showing Diadora at this year’s Interbike. “No clothing or accessories at this time at Interbike,” Rudell added. -Jason Norman
