LONDON (BRAIN) — The Morpher helmet is now available online and will be available for wholesale purchase next month, with delivery from a U.S. warehouse to U.S. retailers.
The $149 helmet opens and closes in seconds and comes in a range of colors. It was invented by Jeff Woolf, the two-time winner of British Inventor of the Year. The company said it caters to "the 82% of cyclists who don't wear a helmet because they are too much of a nuisance to carry around."
The Morpher is 6.5 cm (2.6 inches) at its widest when folded and fits easily into a laptop case or bag. It is CPSC certified and most of the helmet's components are recyclable.
