Lezyne releases firmware update for 2016 model GPS devices

Published December 8, 2016

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. (BRAIN) — Lezyne has released a firmware update for its "Year 9" (model year 2016) GPS units, including the Mini, Power and Super GPS computers.

Lezyne said the firmware update includes various minor bug fixes along with improved sensor pairing, battery runtime accuracy, specific data refinements and further device customization options.

  • For the Mini GPS unit, the update adds new screen customization options.
  • For the Power and Super GPS units, the update adds speed data from wheel based power meters using Bluetooth, stabilizes speed and distance data jumps when paired with Bluetooth speed and/or cadence sensors, improves battery runtime percentage reporting.
  • For the Super GPS unit specifically, the update impoves Ant+ sensor connection, fixed Ant+ pairing to only pair with the same sensor after restarting the GPS, improved Shimano D-Fly Di2 auto reconnect, added percentage-based battery reporting for Ant+ power meters, and refined power calculations with crank and wheel based Ant+ power meters.

The firmware can be updated by connecting the device to a computer with a micro-USB cable.
