Light & Motion launches first drone light

Published October 18, 2016

MARINA, Calif. (BRAIN) — Light & Motion is introducing its first light for the consumer drone market: the Seca 2200d.

Optimized for smaller drones like the 3DR Solo, DJI Phantom and Inspire, the integrated GoPro interface is both easy to mount and stable. Custom-engineered optics with four Cree LEDs provide a 24-degree beam with 2,200 lumens of output.

The Seca 2200d runs off of its own two-cell battery, leaving the drone with full power for maximum flight time. This modular design allows freedom to separately mount the lighthead and battery for proper balancing. More batteries can be added to extend run time.

The kit includes a GoPro mount with extension arm, a battery strap and an external charger. System weight is 266 grams.

Suggested retail: $380.
