BOULDER, Colo. (BRAIN) — RockyMounts has introduced a new upright bike rack attachment called the BrassKnuckles.
The new bike attachment is designed to be low profile and aerodynamic when a bike is not installed. It also is made of non-corroding aluminum for durability. It will hold virtually any bike, including road bikes, 29ers, and bikes with wheels as small as 20-inch. It fits any style of crossbar.
"We're extremely excited about BrassKnuckles," said RockyMounts president Bruno Maier. "Our product team has done a fantastic job of designing and engineering an innovative bike rack that is the best upright mount available. BrassKnuckles reinforces our position as an innovative and colorful company."
The BrassKnuckles' pivoting arm assembly is integrated into the wheel tray and mounting head to provide a low profile appearance and increased fuel efficiency. When stowed, the profile height of the BrassKnuckles is less than half that of the competition, according to the company.
The pivoting arm has also been engineered to allow for efficient driver-side or passenger-side installation. BrassKnuckles gets its name from the ergonomically shaped handle which makes the arm and wheel hook easier to pull down for efficient bike mounting. The handle includes a non-pinching trigger and RockyMounts' "Positive Ratcheting Engagement," which allows the wheel-hook to move in fine increments. The handle also includes the RockyMounts' "Secure Locking System."
The BrassKnuckles will be available for shipment and purchase this spring.
MSRP: $199.
