KESWICK, Ontario (BRAIN)—The Bicycle Trade Association of Canada (BTAC) has teamed up with Tire Stewardship BC (TSBC) to launch a new bicycle tube and tire recycling program.
This new program provides bicycle retailers a tire a tube recycling program at no cost to consumers and no disposal fees for retailers.
"We are really excited about this initiative and look forward to working with retailers in BC on this voluntary program that allows them to implement a recycling service with no costs," said Janet O'Connell, executive director, Bicycle Trade Association of Canada. "The program piggy-backs on the existing auto scrap tire collection and recycling infrastructure, managed by TSBC."
