CARLSBAD, Calif. (BRAIN) — Canyon Bicycles has started selling through Amazon some entry-level urban, recreational, and mountain bikes to North American customers.
"Expanding into this space is intended to meet a new consumer on an established platform, making cycling more accessible and convenient for everyone," a Canyon spokesperson told BRAIN. "It is a complement to the premium range only found on Canyon.com, preserving the integrity of our higher-tier product."
Among the models listed are the STCHD 360 dirt jump bike ($1,099), Grail:ON CF 7 AXS ($5,599) e-gravel bike, Stoic 4 hardtail ($2,099), Roadlite CF 8 ($1,699) commuter, Spectral CF 8 ($4,699) full-suspension trail bike, and Precede:ON Comfort 7 ($4,499).
Canyon announced earlier this month it laid off an undisclosed number of employees in the U.S., part of an "an ongoing process" that was not tied to changing tariff policy.
Late last year, Canyon expanded its service partner network by adding 28 REI Co-op locations. The consumer-direct brand's network already includes 66 independent bike shops in the U.S. and scores of independent service partners in Europe.
