ASHEVILLE, N.C. (BRAIN) — Cane Creek Cycling Components has resumed limited operations at their North Carolina headquarters after being designated as an essential business by the state. The company had previously suspended all operations at the facility in late March due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Cane Creek said it is following North Carolina and CDC COVID-19 prevention guidelines by regularly sanitizing surfaces, limiting the number of staff members in the facility at a time, requiring staff to maintain a distance of six feet from one another, requiring workers to wear masks and gloves in common areas and requiring that all staff who are able to work from home do so.
"Certainly, it is a difficult balance between treating the pandemic with the respect it deserves and ensuring Cane Creek will survive for employees and riders. So, we are reviewing the situation and adjusting daily." said Brent Graves, the president and CEO of Cane Creek. "We are also fortunate as reported cases in our area are currently very low relative to the population."
Cane Creek is operating with limited production capacity and is asking customers to expect longer than usual fulfillment times on all orders.
