KENT, Wash. (BRAIN) — Seattle Bike Supply launched a new business-to-business website Monday that was just one part of its recent investment in service and support for its IBD network.
The B2B website, SBS’s new ordering portal, can be accessed at order.accellna.com. Other Accell North America companies will also use the new system to service their accounts.
“This new website gives our IBD customers access to our growing parts inventory,” said Rickey Strawn, national sales manager for SBS. “The technology will help us increase our fill rates and better service the dealer base. These are all steps that our customers have demanded. This new site is a great answer to those requests.”
The site has numerous enhancements to the previous SBS system, including a more understandable page layout, easier tree navigation and rapid access to inventory availability, SBS said in a release.
Besides the new B2B site, SBS began its move to its new office campus in Kent on Dec. 13. The 20,000-square-foot facility includes research and development workshops, new showrooms for parts, accessories and bicycles, real time access to information systems staff and a warranty and service group to support the Redline and Torker brands.
“Until now, our purchasing and product development were in separate offices, our new office complex has all our staff under one roof,” said Greg Blackwell, SBS' president. “Bringing all our teams together allows more collaboration on projects that have results in better products to sell and better service to the dealer.”
SBS is now partnering with Menlo Logistics Worldwide for all warehousing and order fulfillment. “This partnership allows us to focus our energies on what we do best, while allowing Menlo to deliver the service quality they are known for and that dealers will appreciate,” said John Quattrocchi, SBS' vice president of purchasing and product development.
Quattrocchi said SBS expects to increase its product offerings by 20 to 30 percent this year with more to come in coming years.
SBS will now extend its outside sales efforts to the San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles, the Midwest and Oregon. “(We’ve brought in) four new outside sales representatives experienced and dedicated to helping dealers grow their business,” said Strawn.
Dealers interested in registration assistance or setting up personalized training on the new website can call SBS at (800) 283-2453.
