September 28, 2021, Wheaton, Ill. - Vendor expo and team parking reservations for the 2021 USA Cycling Cyclocross National Championships at Cantigny Park in Wheaton, Ill are now available. As the only USA Cycling national championship that has all categories represented in one time and place, the week-long event is expecting to host more than 1,600 competitors and thousands of spectators at the event near Chicago.
"While our planned 2020 event was cancelled for obvious reasons, the DuPage Convention & Visitors Bureau is excited to host this event in 2021," said local organizing committee chair Mark Zalewski. "Cantigny Park is a great partner for the CVB and is ready to welcome everyone with an exciting course and fan-friendly layout."
The event is an opportunity for brands and vendors to get in front of both a lot of bike racers and the general public. With the event site only 25 miles from Chicago, this is the largest market for the U.S. cyclocross nationals in its history. Coincidentally, the first four national championships were also held in the Chicago area from 1963-1966.
"The venue at Cantigny Park has a lot of space for both a vendor expo and large team parking, right next to the race start/finish," said Zalewski. "As such the activation potential is high."
Additionally, there are still opportunities for major course feature branding sponsorships — from flyovers to steps to sand pit.
