November 1, 2019 — Park Tool is pleased to announce the application period for their 2020 Community Tool Grants will open November 1, 2019 and run until December 31, 2019. Now in its fifth year, the Park Tool Community Tool Grants award ten non-profits with bicycle tools and repair stands to help them continue to make a difference in their community. Each of the ten grant recipients will receive over $1,400 in Park Tool products including:
1 — Park Tool PK-4 Professional Mechanic Tool Kit
2 — Park Tool PCS-10.2 Portable Repair Stands
5 — Park Tool SA-1 Shop Aprons
1 — Park Tool BBB-4 Big Blue Book of Bicycle Repair
In addition, one exceptional program will receive the President's Choice Award which will provide them with an additional $1,000 to spend on more tools and repair equipment.
"It has been great to support over 40 well deserving organizations over the past four years. We have seen first-hand how providing the proper tools can help to get so many people on bikes," said Eric Hawkins, Park Tool's president/owner and chief mechanic.
Applications for the grants will be accepted from November 1, 2019 - December 31, 2019 at www.parktool.com/form/community-tool-grant-request. Winners will be announced in mid-January, 2020.
