WHISTLER, British Columbia — Liv Cycling, the company dedicated to getting more women on bikes — along with Crankworx Whistler — will bring the Liv Women's Only A-Line Session back to Crankworx on Aug. 11. That same morning, Liv Canada will also offer demo sessions of the Liv Hail Advanced 1 and Intrigue Advanced 1.

The Women's Only A-Line Session was designed to bring women together for a freeride shred session on A-Line, a 1,200 vertical-foot flowy jump trail featuring sculpted berm turns, jumps and tables that are recognized as one of the most iconic flow trails in the world. Participants will have access to bike park coaches for tips, tricks and guidance on how to approach more challenging sections of the trail.

In a no-pressure environment, participants will have the opportunity to take their skills to the next level or just have fun with friends with the added comfort of A-Line being closed to the public. SRAM has also partnered to offer technical assistance to participants at the entrance to A-Line.

Following the event, participants are invited to the GLC for après and giveaways. All participants will be included in a drawing with an opportunity to win a Liv mountain bike. The winner will have the option of selecting a Liv Hail Advanced 1 or a Liv Intrigue Advanced 1.

The schedule

Whistler Mountain Bike Park

Online registration is now open. Last year, 150 spots filled in less than 24 hours. In addition, there will be 50 day tickets available for the first pre-registered participants that arrive, available on a first-come, first-served basis. Participants are asked to sign the waiver day of or the day before the event at the Liv Expo Booth, Mountain Square between 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

A full-face helmet is required. Participants are asked to bring their own bike (dual suspension recommended).

About the Liv Hail Advanced 1

Built to come alive at high speeds for the uncompromising trail rider, the Liv Hail Advanced 1 enduro-capable bike can pedal and descend technical trail like a dream. The first truly women's-specific 160mm enduro bike on the market, Hail Advanced is meticulously put together with a no compromise execution, offering the highest-performing componentry available, a balanced geometry and suspension tuning by women, for women. Now with a 170mm fork, Hail is ready to tackle even more challenging terrain. The Advanced Composite frame is handcrafted with tuned stiffness and compliance, making Hail Advanced lightweight for tackling the climbs and charging on descents. Hail Advanced is built with women's-specific geometry and trunnion-mounted Maestro suspension to meet the demands of aggressive trail riding and enduro racing. Using Liv's 3F Design Philosophy and global body dimensions studies to harness women's lower body power, Liv creates bikes that are active, playful and provide unmatched traction and control.

About the Liv Intrigue Advanced 1

Featuring an advanced composite frame, aggressive trail geometry and capable 140/150mm travel, the new Intrigue Advanced offers both climbing agility with downhill command suitable for all types of terrain. An updated Advanced Forged Composite upper rocker arm was designed for maximum strength and lightness for lateral stiffness. This offers a lightweight, comfortable ride with efficient wheel tracking for increased balance and control. The frame geometry caters to an agile and efficient riding style, with a longer top tube and shorter stem for improved handling. The slack head tube angle at 66.5 degrees enhances the bike's descending performance, and a steeper seat tube angle at 74.5 degrees improves its climbing finesse.
